Two European prizes for 3M research project!

At a recent conference for language teachers in Utrecht, our colleague Joana Duarte – together with Mirjam Günther and their team at NHL Stenden – has won two prizes for their 3M project.

The 3M project (Meer kansen Met Meertaligheid) aims to develop an innovative action plan to promote multilingual education in p

rimary schools. The project advocates for more diverse multilingual practices in the classroom, thereby allocating more space to English and Frisian in addition to Dutch, as well as more appreciation for migrant languages.

Joana and her team received the audience prize for innovative language teaching, and in addition were awarded with the second prize from the professional jury at the conference. Both prizes are granted by the European Commission under the name European Label of Languages (Europees talenlabel).

Congratulations!The 3M team
